Business Coaching that changes how you see the numbers

You built something real. Now you need someone who will sit across the table, look at your P&L, and tell you what you already suspect but haven't acted on. That is what we do at Perspective Business Coaching.

Business owner and coach reviewing financial data together

Revenue is flat but you are busier than ever

More hours, more staff, same bank balance. The leak is usually in pricing, scope creep, or a product line that looked profitable on paper but eats margin in practice. We find it within the first session.

You have a team but still make every decision

Delegation fails when roles are fuzzy. We map decision rights so your ops manager can actually manage ops, and you get Fridays back.

Growth feels risky instead of exciting

Hiring, leasing, borrowing: each one is a bet. We stress-test the numbers before you sign anything, using a simple cash-flow model you can update yourself.

Three signals your business needs a second pair of eyes

Most of our clients are owners of companies turning over £500k to £5m. They are competent, hard-working, and stuck. The stuckness is rarely about effort. It is about perspective. One conversation can reframe a problem you have been circling for months.

We start every engagement with a 45-minute diagnostic call. No charge. No pitch deck. Just your numbers, your frustrations, and an honest assessment of whether coaching will move the needle for you.

Four stages, twelve weeks, one clear outcome

Week 1–2: financial X-ray

We pull apart your last 12 months of accounts. Gross margin by service line, customer concentration risk, cash conversion cycle. You get a one-page snapshot that tells you exactly where profit leaks out. Expect two 90-minute sessions and some homework: gathering invoices, timesheets, and supplier contracts.

Week 3–5: strategic focus

Armed with the data, we pick the two or three levers that will have the largest impact. Sometimes that means raising prices on 20% of your client base. Sometimes it means killing a product. We build a 90-day action plan with specific targets, owner names, and deadlines. No vague "improve communication" goals.

Week 6–10: execution sprints

Fortnightly calls keep momentum. Each sprint has one deliverable: a revised pricing page, a new onboarding checklist, a hiring brief. We review what worked, what stalled, and adjust. You will probably want to skip a call at some point because you are busy. That is the call you need the most.

Week 11–12: lock-in review

We compare your new numbers against the baseline from week one. You keep the spreadsheet, the action plan, and the decision-rights map. If you want ongoing monthly check-ins, we offer that too, but the goal is to make you self-sufficient.

What changed for three real businesses

Independent café interior

Hospitality group, East Anglia

Three café sites, 22 staff, owner working 70-hour weeks. We restructured the rota, renegotiated two supplier contracts, and introduced a simple daily cash report. Within 14 weeks the owner dropped to 45 hours and took a week off for the first time in three years.

SaaS company, remote team of 9

Recurring revenue was growing at 8% year-on-year, but churn ate most of it. We identified that 40% of churned accounts had never completed onboarding. A three-email sequence and a 15-minute setup call cut churn by nearly half in one quarter.

Construction company yard with vans

Trades contractor, Suffolk

Revenue was £1.2m but the owner was quoting every job personally. We hired a junior estimator, built a quoting template, and introduced a minimum project value. Quote volume dropped 60%, win rate doubled, and revenue climbed to £1.5m with fewer headaches.

Before you pick up the phone

No. We are not going to ask about your childhood. Coaching here is practical: we look at your numbers, your team structure, and your calendar. Then we figure out what to change and hold you accountable while you change it. Think of it as a sparring partner who has read your accounts.
Typically £500k to £5m turnover, 3 to 40 employees. Sole traders sometimes benefit too, especially if they are about to hire their first employee or take on a lease. Larger companies usually need a full consultancy team rather than a solo coach.
All sessions are on Zoom, so geography is flexible. That said, our experience is deepest in UK tax, employment law, and market conditions. If your business operates mainly outside the UK, we will tell you upfront whether we can add real value or whether you need someone local.
Forty-five minutes. You share your top frustration and your last set of accounts (even if they are rough). We give you at least one actionable insight you can use whether or not you hire us. If there is a fit, we outline what the 12-week programme would look like for your situation.
In most cases, yes. HMRC generally treats business coaching fees as an allowable expense if the coaching is directly related to your trade. We are not accountants, so confirm with yours, but none of our clients have had issues claiming it.
